Design at Tradeshift
When I joined Tradeshift, design was still finding its voice inside a rapidly expanding fintech startup. What began as a few designers shaping isolated products grew into a global product design organization spanning three studios and 20+ practitioners, helping drive one of the boldest transformations in B2B commerce — from a single product to a connected financial platform used by millions. Over the next few years, I partnered closely with product and commercial leaders to bring new ideas to market — from B2B marketplaces to working-capital solutions — while embedding design thinking, rapid prototyping, and customer co-creation deep into how we built and launched products. Design became both the spark for new concepts and the connective tissue across teams.

As Tradeshift matured from product-market fit to platform scale, my focus shifted to institutionalizing design — creating the foundations that would let creativity scale sustainably. We built a unified design system, formalized UX research and design ops, and developed new standards for design quality that directly tied to business performance and product differentiation.

At the platform level, we reimagined Tradeshift as a modular app ecosystem — a personalized system of curated applications designed for specific personas and business workflows. Designers were embedded within product domains, driving craft and speed, while a central platform team stewarded the shared UI, navigation, and design language that held the experience together.

Noteworthy Product Design Initiatives
Tradeshift Cash
A supply-chain financing solution launched with a £100MM facility
Tradeshift Cash brings inclusive, data-driven financing to small and mid-sized suppliers traditionally excluded from enterprise-grade supply chain finance programs. I led the product design from the ground up and later expanded into product management, helping launch Cash with capital partners like HSBC and Santander. We focused on unlocking liquidity through platform data - offering sellers timely access to funds based on historical invoices, not just credit scores.

Shifted GTM from offline sales to in-product lead generation, improving conversion and speed to funding

A virtual card–based spend management app that scaled to $1B+ in annual volume
Tradeshift Go started as an MVP for individual corporate card users and grew into a $1B+ spend-management platform for distributed, mid-market, and enterprise teams. I led the redesign and evolution of the product from its early prototype through scale, partnering with American Express and piloting with early adopters including Apple. As we expanded into Go for Teams, my team reimagined every core interaction — from team-based user models and approval workflows to conversation-driven spend approvals — creating a lightweight, modern experience built for how global teams actually collaborate today.
